nonsense. Maybe you shouldnt use ATMs anymore. Maybe you shouldnt do online shopping anymore. Or use computer banking systems. Maybe you should even require that your bank abandon computers and instead use hand money counting, etc.
After all, computers can steal your money!
November 14th, 2008 | 21:34:04
Are you insane!! It can steal your votes!!

well, whatever. Its your problem. We´ve been using electronic voting in Brazil for more than 10 years for executive and legislitive voting on federal, state and municipal levels. It works flawlessly and we know the election results in less than 5 hours.
Voting scandals DECREASED after electronic voting. There is LESS time for corruption. There is less chance for voter counters to screw up.

in Brazil, we have been using computer voting machines for more than 10 years already all over the country (and voting is mandatory here, so we have more than 100 million voters in each election).
the elections are FASTER and MUCH MORE RELIABLE than paper ballots.
Come on... your entire economic system, all your money depends on electronic equipments, that can also be hacked in theory. But you dont trust it for voting?
Was it an electronic or paper ballots which had that incident before?
November 14th, 2008 | 23:06:00
Fuck these damn machines and request a paper ballot. We can't risk to have ANOTHER election stolen again.
November 14th, 2008 | 23:28:59
Funny...we do similarly here in northern California: big black marker on a stiff paper ballot stuffed into a cardboard box. But who counts the votes? I have no clue.

American's should be outraged. The fact that they are not speaks volumes about the level of education and intelligence of the american public at large re politcal issues as well as their blind faith in the integrity of their politicians. This matter should have been dealt with long ago. it will be interesting to see how much the exit polls are at varience with the actual vote. Why not use optical scanners and have a paper trail? It seems like common sence.

In canada we stuff our paper ballot into a big white cardboard box after we have marked an X with a golf pencil. We too have our voting scandals like: You go to vote and the pencil needs to be sharpened.

Problem is that the media aproch it from a point of veiw that some acne faced hacker would do something to the machine localy. Just imagine enemies of democrocy remotly controlling these machines. And by enemies of democrocy i mean the corporations/bankers that runs the world. But on the other hand, they really dont care since they own both candidates anyway. Hmm damn, now my whole point was lost.
November 15th, 2008 | 01:46:53
if you see anything weird when voting, alert the news media and your Secretary of State!
November 15th, 2008 | 02:09:52
have YOU ever been to Canada? Please stop embarrassing our fellow Americans and don't talk or post anything if you're going to be so ignorant.
November 15th, 2008 | 02:32:51
voting machine are sucks!!! it's what been odered to do come out. the machine itself has his candidate. we have to burn up all them. two years of campaigning go in flamme in two seconds by hackers. POOR OBAMA!

Follow Canada's lead: Pencil and PAPER
November 15th, 2008 | 03:18:49
I dont see hoe you can compare the U.S. to Canada. Have you ever been to the U.S. you should know how many people there is in one area compared to anywhere in Canada. Let us do what we do
November 15th, 2008 | 03:41:48
WAKE THE FUCK UP! holy shit what the fuck more do u need to see??????????
November 15th, 2008 | 04:04:47
Seriously; the Democrats should really push to go back to hand counting votes.
November 15th, 2008 | 04:27:46
Voting machines are the dumbest invention ever... Voting should ALWAYS use paper and pencil ballots. That's how we do it here in Canada and it works great and I hope they never change it. Why does the US have so many voting problems, including long lines... I've never had to wait in line for more than a few minutes to vote.
