Gene Kelly called her "lovely." From a guy's point of view today, she is simply "hot." Obviously, what they do here makes a joke out of what people call "talent" today. Musicals are WAY before my time, but this scene and movie are great. I saw her in "Silk Stockings" too, but she is dressed way to conservative in that and other movies. This is one of the few scenes that show off her mind-boggling body. RIP Cyd - you're in that green dress and this man's imagination forever.

Cyd Charisse. Talented, beautiful, graceful, elegant, not a conceited bone in her body. At age 67 she appeared in Janet Jackson's Alright video and did a head-high kick that many much younger dancers would find hard to do. She aged gracefully and elegantly. RIP, Cyd Charisse. Dance Heaven has welcomed you home and crowned you Queen!
