Horrible sportsmanship.

it's actually a very smart play that coaches teach starting in high school. Stop whining, they are D-1 athletes. They can take a ball to the dome. He didn't even get a bloody nose.

sweeeeeeeeeeeeeeet

Tom:
The face is about 2% of the area he had available to hit with the ball. I see a new rule in b-ball: Penalty for face shots. Period.

Helton:
Morris should have just thrown it off Aboya's leg. End of story.

what a punk , he could have hit him in the body, and then he walks away like a coward, no wonder their team sucks and it takes away from a great win for their program, nobody talking about their win, but about the coward shot to the face, and im a U.S.C. fan!

But anyways, the play is not as cheap as it is being portrayed. It was a complete reaction and not intentional

I'm embarrassed that you consider yourself a UW fan, you're a complete idiot

I am a UW fan and I think this kind of trashball is all good. Our tem is almost last in the PAC 10 and is having another sorry season, so what else do we UW fans have to look forward to except getting excited by low blows like this. UCLA is the PAC 10 glory team and we suck, so wtf, I say we just do crap like this so we for once we feel like we matter, like we're strong, kinda, sorta. Hell at least somebody's nolw looking at our replays.

As long as we won the game by 10 points, we wouldn't care if the roles were reversed. I guarantee you that. You know why? NO ONE WAS HURT. Huskies play tough every game. Brockman has gotten a half a dozen hard elbows to the face this season (blood, stitches, etc) during games and not complained ONCE. Neither do the fans. Morris had his nose broken and played with it. Live by it, die by it. I thought the Bruins were a tough team? I think you've been in the sun too long Bruin fans.

Vivica:
If that's true, why didn't he just "throw" it off Aboya's face. He was 8 inches away and he had a follow-through like he was trying to throw a 100 mile per-hour fastball. Watch it again. Why did he snarl before he fired the ball at Alfred's face? Maybe he was responding to something the UCLA bench said or rough play by Aboya during the game, but that was intentional and malicious as hell. That was an empty apology.

Ximon:
It was a reaction, He even tried to apologize to him, but Ben Howland tried to stop him, it wasn't a thing that he did on purpose to get him mad

Gilli:
Y'know what's idiotic about this discussion? If Aboya had slammed the ball off Morris' face, how many Huskie fans would be saying, "Good play by Aboya, he didn't do it intentionally, he had to throw it off Morris' face or it woulda been a turnover. Our guys just need to toughen up." Uh, right, that's exactly what they'd say. Gimme a break.

NYASORE:
He is a coward for hiding behind the legality of the play, and for intentionally cheap shotting a player and then apologizing for it to cover up his cowardly move.
