i saw A-smith in the late 70's. Tyler was so high he forgot the words at times, and totally botched "train kept roll'n". Saw them for $13.00 a head in San Bernardino, ca. (orange pavillion) in like...84-85?..."monkey of my back tour" (drug free). i had never been rocked like that for $13.00. Tyler was at his best ever. (my opinion) About 2-3 months later, they were on SNL. total re-birth. nothing good ever comes from drugs.
