My point still is, that his fame is due to the story about him... He's sort of the ugly duckling.
He's nowhere near the same level as other opera singers in the business.
If you are interested in Opera and hear it other than on stupid tv-shows, you will know this.

Alexander, on this show he was very, very nervous. It was visible on the Paul Potts by Royal Command special. Paul was the number 1 selling artist in Denmark for 2007 and he performed before 10 sold out concerts in Denmark in May.

That is pretty unfair. He does have one or two weak notes, but is able to hit some notes with such passion.

Only reason for his succes and the hype about him is due to the story about the little ugly mobile salesman who got famous.

You've got to love Paul Potts. If you can't apprechiate the singing, you ought to be capable of apprechiating the story behind it! I, personally, have watched every decent video of Paul Potts I've been able to get my greedy hands on, and I can't seem to get enough. Bloody brilliant, enough said!

Paul was extremely nervous for this performance. The documentary Paul Potts By Royal Command shows this very well. He has continued to improve since this performance. His world concert tour was very successful.

Well, his performance was a little weak compared to previous ones I've heard.
He certainly needs to work on holding final notes a little longer, especially with a piece like Nessun Dorma.
That does appear to be his weakness.
What a surprise hearing lyrics to Gabriel's Oboe too! Alway's loved this piece of music written by one of the greatest film composers ever, Enrico Morricone. Taken from the movie "The Mission"

i looked at simon looking at paul and i said to my self he is going to blow them away and by god he did i love the under dog of the world fantasia jennefer hudson even though she did not win look at her now.paul stay just like you are ,i never went to an oprah but if you come to chicago i am there.
