hip hop is expression to the soul which means pretty much you feel what you do and you do what you feel and hope everybody else feels you if they dont your still you if could have no legs you can still be a bboy you can have no hearing and be a dj you can have no sight and be a graf artist tahts what hip hop is all about hip hop should go back to the way it was whcih is exression not drugs sex money and gang related shit.

You know nothing.KRS,Public Enemy, man they were all reaching out to their peeps and talking about what mattered before people even heard the name Tupac. NWA said F The Police before Tupac. Schoolly D was pioneering gangsta rap and Ice-T. Tupac was a great emcee but he was not the 1st to do anything. He just had a unique way of doing what'd already been started. He is still overhyped because he was a media figure and people who dont know about rap history act like he did everything first.

@ beeasy765 - rakim has never been one to put his business out there, so why are you doing it? keep the focus on his flow and leave it at that.

i fucked the spelling because i dont actually use the computer like that but i just wanted to educate the younger generation on something, back in those days rakim was that dude period he had the street aura.ran with real and i mean real killers.check your history, and he was the only rapper that other rappers looked up to in awe back then.he never had to cuss to get his point across and portray or act like a killer.his pressence was or should i say how he carried hiself trully defined a real G!

first off all know your history before you speak on shit eric b and rakim back in 86 ran with the most dangerous drug dealers in brooklyn supreme magnetic and rap who the real 50 cent worked for they was first dudes to be 100 deep at shows and rakim was the first to rock the ice. they had a drug crew called the paid in full posse also with killer ben who was down with supreme and them back in those real crack war days knowbody and fucked with eric b and rakim because eric b was this thruth.

If Tupac had lived what he rapped about he would have done it before he got famous.

Tupac looked up to Chuck D, KRS-1 and Treach. Tupac was not the first rapper to live what he rapped about that's crazy. Are you only talking about shooting at a cop?

Thank You!

Chuck Dee came before 2pac speaking to his own people (2pac just spoke to the his generation). It's funny that 2pac didn't have the nerve to do all that daring stuff before he got big and had the resources to protect himself. I call that letting your fame get to your head. Other rappers did dangerous things before their fame (that's real daring) and then had enough sense to stay out of trouble once they were famous in order to be a good example to the kids.

2pac was the first rapper to prperly speak out to his people and in his own way preech plus he was also the first rapper to be just like he says he was in his songs, e.g. tupac would say in a song how he felt alone and how he would want to shoot a cop, well he was paranoide as fuck and he did shoot two cops
