Orland:
I would love to see a serious director do a bio-pic of his life, it is a classic rags to riches story, but with all the complex human failings and emotions so thoroughly brought to life by the many leading characters in his best films.

I love his films, I always have, in fact I own everything he ever made that is available on DVD, including the TV series, even though he only directed a handful of them, but let's not pretend this genius was something he wasn't, a kind and good-natured eccentric. In fact that belittles his genius.

Doreen:
The reality is that while he was a brilliant fimmaker in many regards, his films are in fact the reflection of his deepest and darkest psychological repressions, his sexual hangups, his fear of being alone and simultaneous replusion of "others"as well as the mental and emotional baggage he carried throughout his life from a childhood characterized by a distant and strict father, a clinging and demanding mother, and his strict Catholic brainwashing.

Doren:
Larry King, as usual is completely unprepared for his topic. For anyone who has read Donald Spoto's book the Dark Side of Genius (1983), it is apparent that these women are here protecting the Hitchcock legacy and furthering the myth that he was a amiable sort of English fuddy duddy, kind and generous to his wife and daughter and leading ladies.

That's a bunch of crap. Yes I think Halloween and the Fog are good movies, but you cannot compare them to something like Psycho! Without Psycho there would be no Halloween!! John Carpenter admits that himself!

HITCH you are the MASTER

To swakachi: I think most people would tell you that John Carpeneter's Halloween or The Fog blow away Hitchcock's lame Psycho. Get real. The British cannot make a good horror film, never could.

John Carpenter does nothing but copy Hitchcock.

John Carpenter makes better horror films than Alfred Hitchcock.

Looking at the ticker at the bottem it said Sean Connery turned 73 on that day so the day was August 25, 2003 , Sadly Janet Leigh passed away on October 03, 2004 from vasculitis. She was 77 and still beautiful. One thing Leigh and Hedron did share was they both had actress daughters. Of course Jamie Lee Curtis was Janets daughter but I had no clue Tippi Hedren was mom to Melanie Griffith.

The beautiful Janet Leigh died several years ago. I think she may have been in her 70s in thjis - and you say she didnt age well!!!! Dont see many 70 year olds around here looking so good...............

UZUMATI:
ahlan3g, thats because she wasn't as vein and pathetically obsessed with being forever youthful as so many other aged female actresses i.e Faye Dunaway, Joan Collins. They resemble freakshow exhibits now. If your over 80 I'm afraid its a little impossible to be sexually desirable
