My wireless also wasn't supported, so no airport :( But - goto the OSX86 wiki, from what I've read there are several wifi cards that work! Burns DVDs / CDs iTunes Works perfectly Built in Firewire port? / cannot connect my digital video camera An even Cheaper solution to building one of these is to use a Celeron w/ SS3 You will have to either have two disks, or partition your HD into two drives to make this dual boot setup I have work, then modify your windows boot.ini startup file so you can boot between OSX & XP like shown in this video. Please don't ask me how to make it work, or where to 'find' OSX86. This system (does not hang on hardware, etc.) it's very stable once you modify kext drivers and remember to use hardware which is in the OSX86 wiki... Intel Celeron D 2.94Ghz 512mb of RAM I have not tested this on an AMD yet. I used AMD extensions when installing. I insterted this disc into my MacBook, and it would not boot the CD. I do not own an actual Hackintosh. Nor do I support it. I just wanted to create a LiveDVD so I could update my mac-formatted iPod on a PC. This DVD is not on torrents... an server... and I will not seed it.

I am running OS Leopard on my Dell Insprion 530. Specs are shown in the video. Thanks to OSX86 and Insanelymac!!! I used the Kalway 10.5.1 DVD then Combo upgraded to 10.5.2. Used NVInstaller for Graphics, HDA ALC888 for sound, and network card was plugnplay. Upgraded from standard Inspiron 530: Network card (Built in ethernet does not work) Firewire card (Better than USB right?) Graphics Card (Onboard graphics suck and no drivers available) I have the 24" cheap ass TN LCD Dell Display. Budget was: Inspiron + Monitor 640 PNY GeForce 8600GTS 256MB 4 1GB 800MHZ Ram The reason why my CD Rom is out is because my new power supply had a short SATA power cable... So i'm getting an adapter... I might possibly make a more organized/edited video. Enjoy!

ENOUGH, people quit bitching about which is better. I own and use both, this is how it works: -A mac w/ the same specs as a pc, will likely run osx faster. -You can build your own pc for around 1/4 or less the price of a mac which has speecs far better to compensate for that. -On either mac or windows desktop / laptop you can upgrade virtually any part with enough work, but the pc will have ease of use when upgrading. -For the best mac experience do not use osx86... buy a mac. -For the best pc experience, buy a pc. -For a good mixture of both experiences, i would still buy a mac, as long as you can justify the price. -The best deal with macs would be the mac pro's, which is the highest end, but competes in price comparable pc's. I own one mac (imac g4) desktop, a powerbook, an ibook, and a windows desktop pc (which you see).
