Using an IR led array and some reflective tape, you can track fingers in thin air using the Wii Remote by Johnny Chung Lee, Carnegie Mellon University. Sorry, disabled comments because I couldn't be bothered to read through thousands of comments just to see which ones weren't stating that the Wii isn't capable of those graphics. This is a fan trailer for Star Wars: The Force Unleashed. I combined footage of myself waggling the Wii remote and Nunchuck with footage of a Pre-Vis, which was made for the Xbox 360 and PS3 versions of the game.
